Fished with Josh in July 2017 for two days. We have actually fished with his uncle, Mike, in past years, and Josh accompanied us then. We returned to specifically fish with Josh this year. He is a terrific captain. Knowledgeable, friendly, we certainly caught all the fish we could hope for - both salmon and halibut. We also met his wife and children. A terrific family and - of course- great cookies as others have noted. Definitely "the" charter boat to use in Ketchikan. Josh with Salty Sea Charters was a fantastic host!! We had an excellent time fishing!! We reeled in more fish than we could count! We limited out on king and silver salmon, and halibut! We also caught ling cod and rock fish! Josh worked hard to make sure we had a great experience!! I HIGHLY recommend using Salty Sea Charters for all your Ketchikan fishing! I would HIGHLY recommend going fishing with Josh at Salty Sea Charters the next time you are in Ketchikan! My family and I (four of us total) went with Josh just a few days ago and were so happy with our experience. Josh was kind, knowledgeable, respectful, and hard-working the entire tour. We were pleasantly surprised with what a stand-up guy he seemed to be! We spent a half a day with him, and would have loved to have more time out on the water with SSC. His wife even made us cookies that we enjoyed on the boat while we were taking turns reeling in our 22 fish! My husband and I went fishing with another charter 2 years ago, and didn't realize what we were missing out on until we went this past week with Josh at SSC. You won't regret your time or money spent with Salty Sea Charters! Josh gave us a terrific fishing trip today aboard the Stellar Blue. We caught 6 Silver, 3 Pinks, 1 King and a rockfish.
