Regretfully, Alaska Liquor Store pulled a bait-and-switch on me. I came into the store with a flyer they have at the information kiosks in town. The flyer offered a free beer glass or bottle opener with any Alaskan Brewing purchase at Alaska Liquor Store. When I got there, the lady at the counter told me she didn't have anything to give me. And she didn't offer anything as a substitute at all. She even said, "I guess we're doing some false advertising. Sorry." And that was it. I hiked all the way across town for the option, left without making any purchase at all. This isn't the Alaska I know... It's a smaller store, but these guys are always friendly and have good recommendations. Their selection has surprising diversity for the size of their store.
